Other Driving Infractions
Representation for moving violations, license-related charges and other traffic matters.
A traffic charge may involve the way a vehicle was driven, required documents or the status of the driver’s license. The Law Offices of Wunsch and Cruz helps clients review the allegation and decide how to respond. Contact the firm about your citation, especially if you also received a license notice or have an approaching court date.
Traffic matters beyond speeding
Our practice includes stop-sign and red-light allegations, school-bus violations, reckless driving, driving without insurance, accident-related citations and distracted driving. We also assist with revoked- or suspended-license charges and questions about restoration or limited driving privileges.
Not every ticket is an infraction; some driving allegations are criminal charges. The wording and statute on the document matter. Bring every citation from the stop so the attorney can consider the whole matter, not only the charge you are most concerned about.
Gather records that address the actual allegation
The useful documents will vary. An insurance-related matter may call for policy records showing relevant dates. An accident citation may involve a crash report, photographs and witness information. A moving violation may turn attention to the location, signals, traffic conditions or available recording.
Preserve complete records and explain what they show. Correcting a document or resolving a practical problem does not by itself establish that the court case has been dismissed.
When your license is suspended or revoked
Bring the DMV notice, information about the underlying case and any earlier orders. A license can be affected for different reasons, including certain convictions or an unresolved failure to appear. Identifying the reason is an important part of discussing a path forward.
A limited driving privilege is available only in qualifying circumstances and comes with restrictions. Do not assume that work obligations, payment of a ticket or a pending hearing make it lawful to drive. Ask about your current status and the steps relevant to your situation.
Questions to raise before choosing a response
- What exact charge is alleged, and what evidence is available?
- Are there connected tickets or cases that also need attention?
- Could a proposed disposition affect my license or insurance?
- Must I attend the next hearing, and what should I bring?
- Does a missed date or DMV notice require separate action?
